The young middle distance athlete continues to build momentum on the international stage, adding another milestone to his early‑season campaign. Competing against a strong field, Ömer Faruk showed confident pacing and maintained control throughout the race, ultimately lowering the previous national mark of 1:16.70 standing from 2024. The result highlights his growing consistency and reinforces his status as one of Türkiye’s most promising emerging talents. Derya Claims Maiden 10,000m National Crown 3 May 2026 Derya Kunur captured the first 10,000‑metre national title of her career in İzmir on 3 May, delivering a composed and confident performance to win in 32:57.80. Running with patience through the early stages, Derya gradually took control of the race after halfway and maintained a steady rhythm that none of her rivals could match. Her winning time of 32:57.80 not only secured the gold medal but also marked an important milestone in her long distance progression. For Derya, who has been steadily improving across the endurance events in recent seasons, this victory represents a breakthrough moment - her first ever national championship title at 10,000 metres. Sıla Impresess in Season Debut 2 May 2026 Sıla Koloğlu made an impressive start to her outdoor campaign at the Soner Coşan Sprints, Hurdles and Relays Cup in İzmir, delivering two standout performances within a short window. Competing in her first outdoor race of the season, Sıla clocked 37.23 in the 300 metres, breaking the Turkish U23 national record. Approximately ninety minutes later, she returned to the track for the 200 metres and ran 23.39, equalling her own U23 national record. Opening an outdoor season with a national record and a record‑equalling sprint is a strong indicator of form, and Sıla’s double performance in İzmir reinforces her growing presence in Turkish sprinting. Her early‑season marks suggest significant potential as the summer progresses. National Talent Sümeyye Erol Joins Depar 7 March 2026 Depar Management is proud to announce the signing of national steeplechase standout Sümeyye Erol, strengthening its roster with one of Türkiye’s most promising endurance athletes. Erol, a multiple-time national champion and European U20 gold medalist, has consistently demonstrated elite performance across 3000m steeplechase and long distance events. Coming Home With Three Medals 21 February 2026 İlyas Çanakçı helped the men’s 4x400m relay team to a brilliant gold medal in 3:11.27 at the Balkan Indoor Championships held in Belgrade on 21 February. His performance once again highlighted his reliability and competitive strength on the international stage. In the distance events, Kıyasettin Kara produced a composed and tactical race to claim bronze in the 3000m, crossing the line in 8:20.86. Derya Kunur added to the team’s success with a strong showing in the 1500m, securing bronze thanks to her determined 4:25.88 performance. Depar Athletes’ Medal Tally at Indoor Nationals 1 February 2026 Depar Management athletes delivered an impressive series of performances at the Turkish National Indoor Championships held at Istanbul’s Ataköy Arena on 31 January - 1 February, securing multiple podium finishes across sprint and middle‑distance events. Sıla Koloğlu showcased both consistency and championship composure in the women’s 200m. After winning her heat in 24.48 to advance to the final, she returned to the track with confidence and speed, claiming the national title in 23.94. Her performance reaffirmed her status as one of Turkey’s rising sprint talents. In the men’s 3000m, Kıyasettin Kara delivered a commanding run, taking the gold medal with a time of 8:01.24. His decisive performance highlighted his growing strength in indoor competition and set a strong tone for the season ahead. After a cautious start in the senior women’s race, Derya surged to the front around 300m and held her position despite strong challenges from teammates. Sıla Anchors Mixed Relay Team To Podium in Riyadh 20 November 2025 Sıla Koloğlu delivered a decisive anchor leg to secure a podium finish for the national 4x400m mixed relay team at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh. Competing against strong international rivals, Kologlu’s performance in the final stretch ensured Türkiye's place among the medalists. The Turkish relay squad İsmail Nezir, Simay Özçiftçi, Berke Akçam and Sıla Koloğlu brought the baton to the finish line in 3:17.73 to win the bronze medal. Sıla clinched victory with impressive times of 11.68 seconds in the 100m (wind: +0.3 m/s), 23.31 seconds in the wind-assisted 200m (wind: +2.6 m/s), and 53.54 seconds in the 400m. Gulzhanat victorious in Astana 21 May 2023 With a dominant run from gun to tape, Gulzhanat Zhanatbek took the title in 1:11:57, more than ten minutes ahead of the runner-up, at the Astana Half Marathon.
