David chose pacemaking as his professional career. He proved to be a reliable and consistent pacesetter in the various races he was entrusted with the task. Among the many fast times David contributed is the women's world half marathon record of 1:04:02 set by Ruth Chepngetich at the 2021 Istanbul Half Marathon.
