Kübra Strikes Gold at Balkan U20s

Türkiye’s rising distance talent Döndü Kübra Boyraz, just 19 years old, captured her first international title by winning the 3000 metres at the Balkan U20 Championships in Craiova, Romania. Kübra clocked 9:36.96 to secure the gold medal and confirm her growing status among the region’s most promising young athletes.
Kübra had previously earned silver over the same distance
at the 2024 Balkan U18 Championships, and her victory in Craiova marks a significant step forward in her international progression. The young athlete has also enjoyed success at senior level this season, having won the national title last weekend.
Kübra’s performance in Craiova adds another milestone to a breakthrough 2026 campaign and highlights her potential as she continues to transition confidently from junior to senior competition.
